My First Try: Mango Graham Cake
August 22, 2018
If you read some of my blog posts here, you already know that I am not a fan of cooking. But recently, I got the urge to learn. Tanong sa kin ng asawa ko, "Bakit mo biglang naisipan?"Well, honestly, I don't know. I just feel like doing it this time.
So eto na nga, since beginner lang naman ako with this thing, I am just trying to do those simple recipes muna and I think Mango Graham Cake is one of those na kayang-kaya ng mga noob sa cooking just like me.
My peg:

Ingredients:
2 diced mangoes (ctto) |
Miscellaneous items:
- Mixing Bowl
- Pan where you will put your finished product
- Mixer
Procedure (c/o Kawaling Pinoy):
- Make sure that the cream and the condensed milk are chilled and very cold.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream and the condensed milk.
- Using a mixer, whip mixture until it reaches firm peaks
- Gently fold in 1/2 of the diced mangoes, making sure not to deflate the whipped cream.
- Arrange one layer of graham crackers on bottom of prepared dish. Spoon 1/3 of cream mixture on crackers and spread to cover. Repeat this 2x.
- Arrange the remaining diced mangoes on top of the cream.
- Cover tightly the container and refrigerate overnight.
The verdict:
My output 😉 |
Medyo naexpectation vs. reality ako sa looks but for the taste, it was delicious. Tamang-tama lang ang tamis. Maybe because the cream that I used was not very cold so it lacked the heavy texture which caused the mixture to stay watery kahit 20 minutes ko nang nawhip. At least now I know how can I improve my graham cake.
How about you? Do you also have some "expectation vs reality" experiences in cooking? Hope you can share them also.
