My Bacolod Experience!
June 23, 2015It's been a month since I went to the City of Smiles but I should not waste this opportunity to share to you guys my wonderful experience with this place.
Actually our week was just full of food trip experience. Sadly we didn't get the chance to visit The Ruins because of our busy work sched. I hope my next visit, mavisit ko na rin sya! This is my 2nd time btw; the first one was way back 2013 pa. So for this blog post, I will just have a quick run down of some of the restaurants we visited in Bacolod.
1. Lord Byron's Baby Back Ribs
Address: Bacolod, Negros Occidental
Phone: (034) 432-4054
For me, this the best baby back ribs I ever tasted. And mind you, it's so affordable. Imagine, for just 150 pesos, you will have the chance to taste this plus with the garlic rice! Perfect to start our Bacolod trip=)
sorry, no pic of that super huge baby ribs (^_^) |
2. L' Fisher's C's Cafe
Address: Lacson St. , Bacolod, Negros Occidental
Phone: (034) 433-3731
This is the nearest cafe in our hotel so we decided to eat our first breakfast on day after we got here in Bacolod. The place is classy yet I think the price range of their products are still reasonable. My New York cheesecake costs around 125 pesos which is still comparable with the costs in other well-known cafes. The taste is yummy and their serving is so big na muntik ko ng hindi maubos. This is so perfect with a coffee.
My 1st Breakfast here: Cappuccino & New York Cheesecake |
Some of their mouth-watering cakes! |
Me, ready to sip my hot cappuccino=) |
Our first group breakfast in Bacolod! |
3. Diotay's Eatery
Address: 12th St. Gatuslao, Bacolod City
Phone: 0948 814 0037
We wanna try some seafood this time so we asked Kuya Eric (man in red) on what he could recommend to us and he suggested Diotay's. Sabi nya pa kung medyo limited budget but you want to experience "Dampa" style, then it is the perfect place. True enough, our bill was just 1,000 pesos even though we ordered a lot as seen in the picture
Lunch time! no time to get pictures of the food before we eat. gutom na eh=) |
Address: Manokan Country
If you're in Bacolod, you should not forget to pass by the famous Manokan Country. It is a reclamation area near SM Bacolod. This is where a chain of Inasal restaurants are located. We tried Nena's Rose as also recommended by Kuya Eric.
Isaw (chicken intestine) & inihaw na atay (liver) |
Address: 21st Lacson St. , Bacolod, Negros Occidental
Phone: (034) 709-1091
My Spaghetti Carbonara. Sorry, I forgot the name of my coffee there but it has a bit of taste of wine. |
They also got cakes here. I tried the oreo cheesecake it was so yummy! |
I also tried for the first time Chicken Deli and the famous Calea. Epic fail lang kasi wala akong picture! Maybe because super excited lang kumain. hahahaha
All in all, I super love this place especially their food. Feeling ko pag dito ako tumira, di ko kilala ang salitang diet.
